TRUST THE PROCESS

First of all, let me apologize for not posting for a long time. I was preparing for some competitive exams and had to put my mind to it. However, I’ve decided to return to blogging and post as often as I can (because this is what I actually like!!!).

So let’s come back to the topic. How often have you given something your best, worked day and night for it and still not been able to see the results? It can be really frustrating when this happens. After all the hard work you’ve put into, the ‘no results’ scenario puts you directly on the ‘let-me-just-give-up’ path.

But giving up is the last thing you should do. Just give whatever you are doing a chance.  Trust the process! Some things take more time no matter how hard you try. For e.g., if you are trying to lose weight, the results won’t come in a day or a week or even a month. You have to keep doing the exercises, eat healthy and try harder. Patience is the key.

However when I say ‘trust the process’, I don’t mean that you can just sit around doing nothing and hoping that things will fall into place themselves. That is never going to happen. I don’t mean that you should keep doing the exact things that you were doing either. If you are not seeing the results, it is likely that your plan is having some loopholes. So make small amendments and persevere.

Many successful people become successful because they are passionate about what they are doing. Love what you are doing! In that way, you will never be disheartened by temporary failures. Fantasizing about the results can be overwhelming. But it is our perseverance and hard work that are going to make that fantasy a reality.

  1. Great post! Back in the day when I was in high school, I went on a retreat where one of the main themes was to trust the process. I learned how to step back and look at the bigger picture and I felt that has helped a lot in my life so far. I’ve been in school for such a long time (high school, undergrad, post-grad, medical school) and I think patience is probably the best skill anyone can have to be successful. Well scratch that; patience plus loving what you do.
